Severity of VC and the Number of Testicular Microlithiasis in Patients with Testicular Microlithiasis (TM) and Varicocele (VC) Detected by Color Doppler Ultrasonography
This paper study the correlation between the severity of VC and the number of testicular microlithiasis in patients with testicular microlithiasis (TM) and varicocele (VC) detected by color Doppler ultrasonography. 200 patients with TM or VC were selected from January 2018 to January 2019 in our department of andrology clinic. The patients were divided into TM group and TM + VC group according to whether or not they had VC, and divided into LTM group, CTM type I group and CTM type II group according to the number of testicular microlithiasis. Ultrasonography was performed to record the number of testicular microlithiasis and evaluate the severity of VC. The number of testicular microlithiasis and the severity of VC in different groups of patients were analyzed. The number of patients with LTM type, CTM type I and CTM type II TM in TM group was significantly different from that in TM + VC group (2=8.055£¬P=0.018). In TM + VC group, there were 49 patients, 25 patients, 20 patients and 16 patients in subclinical type, clinical type I, clinical type II and clinical type III respectively. There was significant difference in the severity of VC among patients with different number of testicular microlithiasis (2=23.427£¬P=0.001). Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that the number of testicular microlithiasis in TM patients was positively correlated with the severity of VC (rs=0.29£¬P=0.002).The number of testicular microlithiasis in TM patients with VC is correlated with the severity of VC. The number of testicular microlithiasis may indicate the condition of VC to some extent.
