TCM Qufeng Huoxue Prescription Combined with Yifeng Acupoint Bloodletting Therapy in the Treatment of Facial Paralysis

Abstract

This paper evaluates the clinical efficacy of Qufeng Huatan Huoxue Decoction combined with Yifeng Point Pricking Blood Therapy in the treatment of facial paralysis. Chinese medicine group: Qufeng Huatan Huoxue recipe, one bag in the morning and one bag in the evening, warm clothing; pricking blood group: needling Yifeng bloodletting cupping, 2 days once; Chinese medicine + pricking blood group using Qufeng Huatan Huoxue recipe combined with Yifeng acupoint pricking blood therapy, the three groups are 15 days. HB classification, TCM symptoms and clinical efficacy were compared among the three groups. Result: (1)In terms of HB classification and TCM symptom score, after treatment, the patients'symptoms improved, and HB classification shifted to a lower level, and the trend of TCM + pricking blood group was more obvious than other two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). (2)After 15 days of treatment, the total effective rates of Chinese medicine group, pricking blood group and Chinese medicine + pricking blood group were 42.5%, 65.8% and 94.9%, respectively. The cure rate and marked efficiency of three groups were 22.5%, 52.6% and 87.2%, respectively. The total effective rate, healing rate and marked efficiency of Chinese medicine + pricking blood group were significantly better than those of Chinese medicine group and pricking blood group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Qufeng Huatan Huoxue Decoction combined with Yifeng Point Pricking Blood Therapy can effectively improve or cure facial paralysis, improve the prognosis of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients.
