Abstract

To explore the effect of new antidepressants on life satisfaction of depression patients. 110 doctors and nurses
patients with depression treated in our hospital from November 2018 to June 2019 were randomly divided into
control group and observation group, with 55 cases in each group. The control group received traditional
antidepressants (amitriptyline, doxepin), and the observation group received new antidepressants (venlafaxine,
fluoxetine hydrochloride). After 4 weeks of treatment, HAMA, HAMD scores, adverse reactions and life
satisfaction were compared between the two groups. After treatment, HAMA and HAMD scores of the two
groups decreased, and the score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the
treatment effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the score of body
quality of life of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the adverse
reactions of dizziness, dry mouth, nausea and drowsiness in the observation group were significantly lower than
that of the control group (P < 0.05). The application of new antidepressants in the treatment of depression
patients has a significant effect, can quickly improve the emotional state of patients, improve their life
satisfaction, reduce adverse drug reactions, high safety, worthy of promotion and application.
